FRIEND OR FOE

Allergy Screening for 59 of the most common allergies.

Ah-chooooooo…… ever encounter a situation of runny nose, hives, swollen and watery eyes with no apparent cause or suspect in sight? You may be suffering from an allergy. Allergies are your body’s reaction to a normally harmless substance such as pollen, molds, animal dander, latex, certain foods and insect stings. Allergic reactions can range from common symptoms such as itchy eyes or fatigue, to more sever and even life-threatening conditions such as asthma attacks and anaphylactic shock.

Worldwide, allergic rhinitis, or more commonly know as hay fever, affects between 10% and 30 % of the population.1 Findings from a 2009 to 2010 study of 38,480 children (infant to 18) indicated that 8% have a food allergy.2

Allergies are particularly common in children. While some go away as a child gets older, many are lifelong and becomes a chronic condition.

Adults can develop allergies to things they were not previously allergic to.

Most people live with their symptoms and either suffer or avoid situations needlessly. Simple tests are now available to identify the causes accurately to help better manage allergies and improve the quality of life.
